CDM meeting refines the issues faced by the contingent

KUCHING: Several issues were discussed in the first Head of Contingent Meeting (CDM) in conjunction with the XXI Sarawak 2024 Malaysian Games (SUKMA) at the Grand Margherita Hotel on Wednesday.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Secretary of the Sarawak Government (Operations) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SUKMA XXI Sarawak 2024, Datu Hii Chang Kee.

Among the issues discussed are transportation, competition venues, athlete accommodation, food, medical services and several other issues.

Earlier in his message, Datu Hii said he would refine every constraint faced by the competing contingent to ensure the smoothness of the organization of SUKMA this time.

He also informed Sarawak Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Minister, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah will inaugurate the sports village at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) on Thursday.

In addition, he said, preparations for the opening ceremony of the 21st SUKMA on Saturday were also carried out briskly where the first rehearsal was held last night.

Also present was CDM Sarawak Contingent Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu. - Edisi UKAS
